The Polish Financial Supervisor Authority (KNF) has launched Innovation Hub Programme. The initiative is intended to support innovative fintech companies, including start-ups.
As KNF stressed one of the main obstacles for innovative fintech companies in Poland are complicated legal and regulatory requirements they need to meet. What is more the regulations are ambiguous in relations to innovative products or services. KNF plans to advice and educate such companies via its Innovation Hub Programme.
“We wish that entrepreneurs – both: young and more mature, both start-ups, banks and other supervised businesses – have easier path in the Authority with their innovative solutions” – said Marek Chrzanowski, the chairman at the KNF at the press conference.
The Innovation Hub Programme is addressed to two types of firms: either to new fintech companies which plan to start its activity or to established companies already under KNF supervision which plan to introduce innovative product or services.
The KNF will provide these companies with knowledge which regulations apply to their particular case. In order to participate in the programme the company must fill in the for available at KNF website.
