“The best way to predict the future is to create it” – that is the quote, which accompanies the first tech conference in Czech Republic. In March Singularity University, a global learning and innovation community, based in Silicon Valley is coming to Prague. Now it has given an opportunity to five Czech startups to speak about their ideas in AI, robotics, big data, finance and the neuroscience field.
Which start-ups are at the focus? Those, which are developing ideas in world-class technology. They get more points, if they are based on original research or are addressing one of Singularity University’s topics. What should you to, if you are willing to register your start-up? The first step is to submit your application, then, it will be evaluated by Bohemia Venture Capital. Shortlisted start-ups will be called, during the phone call, you will talk about the technology your start-up is developing, about your product and the target market.
What will you get? Start-ups chosen by BVC will be part of the main program in 5-minute-long presentations about their ideas on the stage in front of many international participants. This event is a chance to personally meet the speakers of the SingularityU and foreign journalists. It is also an opportunity to discuss innovations in exponential technologies. Chosen start-ups will get a free ticket to the conference. Others, interested in technology, can buy a ticket for 39 900 CZK.
This is the first time Singularity University has organised its summit in the Czech Republic. During the 2 days of the conference, such topics such as; self-driving cars; the future of crime; biotechnology and medicine will be discussed. Among speakers is Ramez Naam, a longstanding employee at Microsoft, as well as ,s-f ‘Nexus’ trilogy writer David Roberts – one of the world’s top experts on disruptive innovation. A speech will also be given by Michal Pěchouček – founder of Artificial Intelligence Center and Vivienne Ming, who was named one of the top 10 Women to Watch in Tech in 2013 by Inc. Magazine.
SingularityU Czech Summit will be held on 5th and 6th of March at Palác Žofín in Prague. Registration for start-ups is now open under this link. The deadline for submitting applications is 25th of February 2018. Selected start-ups will receive further information the following day.
